The first Memorial Lecture was held in honor of Late Mr. Job Obinna Ikechukwu Onyeukwu Onyenso, who until his demise, was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Pathfinders International Limited (Pathfinders); the first indigenous aviation security company in Nigeria and first Nigerian company to spread its operations to other West African Countries. Pathfinders is a key player in the aviation sector and an internationally recognized aviation security company.
The Memorial Lecture was held on Friday 4th June, 2021 at Golden Tulip Essential Airport Hotel, Ikeja with the theme “Emerging Realities in the Aviation Industry: Dealing with the Current Tides”
The Chairman of the Lecture, Mr. Laoye Jaiyeola, FCIB, CEO, Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) was ably represented by Dr. Tayo Aduloju, the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Fellow of the NESG.
The Keynote Speaker was Mr. Moses Tifa Baio, the Director-General of Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority. There were four discussants to lend their voices to the discussion and thus make the presentation robust. They were: General Manager, Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), Mr. Olumide Osineye, the Station Manager of Lufthansa German Airlines, Dr. Adewale Sanni, Head of Training and Certification, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Mr. Peter Amasa and the Station Manager, British Airways, Lagos and Abuja, Mrs Adetoun Odejimi.
